Testimonials

Wendy [Storytelling Artistic Director & Poet] - Carlos is an amazing improviser and human being. Kind, supportive, and talented. I’ve had the pleasure of joining a few of his workshops and doing a show together. He brings impressive experience, knowledgeable improv skills, a wide range of practical tools and exercises, constructive feedback, creativity, humor, storytelling, and an uplifting spirit - he’s got your back on and off stage!Naomi [Film & Theatre Actor] - Carlos is genuine and passionate about what he does and this makes him a wonderful teacher. He creates a safe, encouraging environment and the rest is so joyful you don't notice that you're learning stuff until you use it later! I highly recommend taking classes with this amazing human if you get the chance.Bernat [Corporate Workshop Participant] - I had the chance to attend the teambuilding workshop that Carlos gave in my company for around 20 to 25 people and it was a blast. We all had a great time and got to know each other better. He created a comfortable environment where we laughed a lot and improved our team dynamics and collaboration.Niels [Stand-up Comedian & Performer] - Carlos is a great improv teacher with lots of experience. He is very engaged in the participant's process and excellent at structuring a workshop. I have had him as a teacher 3 times now and I'll recommend it to anyone who is interested in improv theatre or stage performance in general.

Michael [Online Workshop Participant] - I met Carlos in the workshop "Fantastic elements & grounded scenes" he led with Marie de Waal and his great emphasis on making a safe space to be vulnerable is one of the things I admire most. How he treats every workshop attendee's work as special by explaining the big potential it brings.Mathieu [Community Leader] - It was an amazing experience to have Carlos joining our improv team in Aarhus, Denmark. We had both workshops and stage shows with him and we all had a blast! He is full of amazing knowledge and can talk to any crowd regardless of your level. His teaching is structured, yet he can adapt very quickly to any given group. On top of that his performing skills are bananas!Find more here.

Workshops

North/South, speak your mouth!
In this workshop we explore how our cultural diversity informs the improv we share. There is a special focus on the Northern/Southern Europe contrasting use of subtext, rhythm and conflict. The skills we work with are helpful to any improviser, independently of their background.
Magical Realism in Improv
Leaning on this whimsical literary/artistic genre, this is a workshop where we will build worlds together and make them feel real through emotionally grounded scenes. We will share truth, fantasy and comedy.
The Journey (from short-form to long-form and back)
This workshop draws long-form lessons from short-form games, and the other way around. This is a very special session that works across all levels. Come with curiosity and enjoy doing the improv that you wish you did more of.
Triple Threat: Character, Performer, Director
When we play, it is easy to forget that we are more than just a character. We are characters, performers and directors, all at once! In this workshop, we work with skills that are often overlooked but are essential to elevating your performance. [Workshop developed with Egg Squish It].

The Unforgettable Scenes: Emotionally Engaging Improv
When a show is done, a lot of scenes are forgotten; but there are some that stay with you. Scenes that are fun, but are also truthful. The kind of scenes we will work with in this workshop.
The BOARD-Game of the Scene
Taking lessons from a few famous board-games, we explore the concept of game of the scene.
Corporate Workshops
Reach out if you are interested on Corporate Workshops. I have developed sessions on a wide range of topics, including: Team-building, Psychological Safety, Creativity, Communication, and Storytelling.
